Stylo G has been flying the British flag in the dancehall scene across the world, and the lack of support for him by the UK has been disappointing. Fortunately the Caribbean has shown him nothing but love for his hard work, and this shows with this link up with Jahvillani.
With Stylo and Jahvillani going back to back on the hook opens the track, you'll have your gun finger skank activated only 30 seconds in. It's a great sing-a-long, alongside the production from Trackstar, it gives us the modern dancehall vibe that reminds me of alkaline at his peak popularity.
Jahvillani brings the full force of Jamaican culture on this track, because is it even a dancehall track in Clarks aren't mentioned? His flow is so smooth and whilst having lyrics that aren't quite as crude, he definitely resembles Vybz Kartel with how he rides the tune so well. His rapping ability is clear on this track, and his freestyle on Tim Westwood's radio show backs that up.
Every dancehall DJ is going to need this in their dubplate box, the same way even Wyardie got himself a dubplate for "Just Touch down". Even Irah has already made a verse for the Refix Show, that's how you know it's official.
Stylo G is looking to conquer the carnival season with this track like he has done so many summers before. It makes me hope that the rest of the dancehall scene that does exist in the UK like Jkaz for example can have even half of his success.
